Hot Cocoa Overnight Oats

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 1 tablespoon Hidden Foods hot cocoa mix

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • Optional toppings: banana slices, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, or a drizzle of nut butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the base:
    In a jar or airtight container, combine ½ cup oats, ½ cup milk, 1 tablespoon Hidden Foods hot cocoa mix, and 1 tablespoon chia seeds. Stir thoroughly to ensure the cocoa mix is evenly distributed.

  2. Refrigerate overnight:
    Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 6–8 hours or overnight. The oats and chia seeds will absorb the liquid and create a creamy, pudding-like texture.

  3. Stir before serving:
    In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency.

  4. Add toppings:
    Top with sliced bananas, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, or any toppings you like for extra flavor and texture.

  5. Serve:
    Enjoy chilled as a quick, make-ahead breakfast or snack.

Optional Variations

  • Peanut Butter Mocha: Stir in 1 tsp peanut butter and a pinch of instant coffee granules.

  • Berry Cocoa: Add fresh or frozen berries for a fruity twist.
