Homemade Chocolate Dip

Homemade Chocolate Dip

Ingredients

  • ½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or dark)

  • 1 tablespoon Hidden Foods hot cocoa mix

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

  • Optional: pinch of sea salt, vanilla extract, or a splash of cream for extra richness

  • Dippers: fruit (strawberries, banana slices, apple slices), graham crackers, pretzels, cookies

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate:
Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on the stovetop.

  2. Add HIdden Foods cocoa mix and coconut oil:
Stir in 1 tablespoon Hidden Foods hot cocoa mix and 1 teaspoon coconut oil until fully combined and glossy. Optional: add a pinch of sea salt or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor.

  3. Adjust consistency (optional):
If the dip is too thick for dipping, stir in a small splash of milk or cream until it reaches your desired consistency.

  4. Serve:
Pour the chocolate dip into a small bowl and serve immediately with your choice of dippers such as fruit, graham crackers, pretzels, or cookies.

  5. Storage:
Store any leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat gently in the microwave or over a double boiler before serving.

Optional Variations

  • Spiced Chocolate Dip: Add a pinch of cinnamon, chili powder, or espresso powder.

  • Nutty Chocolate Dip: Stir in 1 teaspoon of nut butter for extra creaminess.

  • White Chocolate Version: Use white chocolate chips instead and reduce the cocoa mix to ½ teaspoon.
