Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Hidden Foods hot cocoa mix

  • ½ tablespoon melted butter

  • 4 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)

  • Optional toppings: sea salt, crushed peppermint, chocolate chips, or cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the popcorn:
    Pop your popcorn using your preferred method (air-popped, stovetop, or microwave). Place it in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Make the chocolate dust:
    In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons hot cocoa mix with ½ tablespoon melted butter. Stir until it forms a smooth, pourable mixture.

  3. Coat the popcorn:
    Drizzle the cocoa-butter mixture evenly over the popcorn. Use a spatula or your hands to gently toss until the popcorn is lightly coated.

  4. Add optional toppings:
    For extra flavor, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt to enhance the chocolate or crushed peppermint for a festive twist. Cinnamon or mini chocolate chips also work beautifully.

  5. Serve:
    Enjoy immediately as a snack, movie treat, or party favor. For best results, eat the popcorn the same day so it stays crisp.

  • Double chocolate: Melt 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips into the butter before tossing.
